Project Spotlight! ⭐Sangamon Valley Trail Extension - Sangamon Co./Menard Co., ILBFW provided Phase II Preliminary Engineering and Phase III Construction Engineering services for a new 2-mile bicycle and pedestrian trail located just north of Springfield, Illinois. The project transformed an abandoned railroad corridor into a multi-use path with a new trailhead parking lot and four township road crossings. This new path joined the existing Sangamon Valley Trail in Sangamon County and now passes through portions of Menard County.Completed in less than five months, the $1.6M project was funded through ITEP.
