Paducah, Kentucky
Marcum is looking for a full-time Electrical Designer/Drafter in our Paducah, Kentucky office.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor of Science Degree in relevant field of study
- Experience in engineering design programs such as AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop project-based electrical specifications.
- Assist in the creation of electrical system design and layout, plans, and documentation, perform load calculations, perform system design and layout, conduct field investigations and construction administration
- Collaborate with team members to ensure designs meet project specifications, goals, and applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Assist with on-site observations during construction and coordinate design requirements with contractors and equipment suppliers under the direction of the project engineer.
- Work in close contact with the entire design team
- Provide engineering support for Senior engineering staff.

BFW is currently seeking an Inspector for Construction Engineering Inspections in our Paducah, KY, Marion, IL, and Cape Girardeau, MO, office locations.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in civil engineering technology, Construction Management, or a related field or 3+ years of Construction Engineering & Inspection.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various construction sites as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
- Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with engineering plans, specifications, regulations, best practices, and safety standards.
- Monitor construction progress and quality, identifying and addressing any issues or deviations from project plans.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve
construction challenges and ensure timely project completion. - Document and report inspection findings, including any non-conformities, and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in the preparation and review of construction project documentation, including progress reports and inspection logs.
- Participate in project coordination meetings to provide technical insights and recommendations.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Land Surveying or a related science

Desired Skills:
- Ability to accurately complete detailed work

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- 3 -5 years of experience in Preliminary Engineering Phase I & II (planning and design) for Roadway Projects
- Current Engineer In Training or the ability to obtain the same within 6 months
- Familiarity with OpenRoads CADD design platforms
- Knowledge of TDOT and KYTC design standards and methods preferred.
- Experience with highway drainage design procedures preferred but not required.
Essential Job Functions:
- Planning and design of urban and rural roadways, site developments, and stormwater management/drainage design
- Investigate field conditions as well as read and comprehend as-built drawings, construction specifications, client base standards, and technical information to develop drawings
