Education/Experience:
- Driver’s license and good driving record are required.
- CDL or ability to obtain a CDL is preferred
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist and work with lead driller in moving, set up, operation, and maintenance of drilling rigs and related equipment used to drill holes for geotechnical testing to determine site soil characteristics.
- Help driller with collection of data and samples in the field under the direction of the crew chief
- Promote and adhere to safe work practices for self, the lead driller, and others
- Complete daily reports of drilling and driving activities
- This position will include frequent walking and will be performed outdoors in varied weather conditions
- This position will include lifting & carrying heavy weighted materials (up to approximately 80 pounds)

Essential Job Functions:
- Take ownership for designing and specifying electrical systems for commercial and light industrial projects consisting of power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, emergency power, and special systems for the purpose of bidding and construction
- Prepare written technical specifications, perform code reviews, and stamp all documents requiring certification
- Design using AutoCAD and Revit as needed for plan production

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college
- 3+ years of relevant transportation engineering work experience designing roadway projects
- Engineer In Training Certificate issued by the State of Illinois, Professional Engineer License, or ability to obtain PE license, within a reasonable period of time is a requirement for this position. Preference will be given to candidates who are currently licensed PEs in the State of Illinois or those who can be licensed in Illinois within 6 months.
