  • Coordination with regulatory agencies, utility companies and sub-consultants to obtain information, guidance, and requirements
  • Manage project budgets and schedules
  • Attend Client Meetings
  • Investigate field conditions as well as read and comprehend as-built drawings, construction specifications, client base standards, and technical information to develop drawings.
  • Develop plans and related documents from engineering input; perform necessary mathematical calculations and prepare details and other related requirements as part of the overall bidding/construction document package.
  • Utilize MicroStation, Power Geopak V8i Powered by Open Roads Technology, and other related design software applications for required for plan production.

GEOTECHNICAL DRILLER ASSISTANT

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:


  • Assist and work with lead driller in moving, set up, operation, and maintenance of drilling rigs and related equipment used to drill holes for geotechnical testing to determine site soil characteristics.
  • Help driller with collection of data and samples in the field under the direction of the crew chief
  • Support the return of field samples which includes making certain samples are labeled, organized, and complete
  • Aid in operation of the drill rig to perform geotechnical borings at depths of 1-100feet deep
  • Promote and adhere to safe work practices for self, the lead driller, and others
  • Work to alert others to potential safety hazards and always utilize appropriate personal protection equipment at job sites.
  • Retrieve/recover soil and rock samples from drilling operations for analysis
  • Assist with laboratory testing activities from time to time
  • Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of all support trucks, drilling equipment, etc.
  • Complete daily reports of drilling and driving activities
  • Must be able to lift 80 pounds
  • Must be willing to work outdoors year-round
  • Travel may be required
