Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:


  • Preparation of survey and engineering drawings from sketches, field notes, verbal description, and specifications
  • Communicate design approaches and decisions with supporting documentation to project engineers and project managers
  • Drafting and engineering design using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Willingness to work in field as required
  • Work under the supervision of a professional land surveyor to prepare several types of survey drawings

  • Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects including contract administration
  • Supervises and monitors client relationship strategies.  Serves as the primary client contact for one or more clients.
  • Direct and supervises other engineers’ activities – may perform duties of a supervisor or department manager.
  • Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction documents, studies, permits, and designs for various projects.

  • Serve as the administrator and communication link between the firm and client, consultants, and public authorities
  • Develop accurate project budgets and RFP/RFQ responses that achieve clients’ objectives
  • Direct land survey projects by organizing the work on the land survey project and determining appropriate procedures needed to accomplish the project.

  • Observes work in progress to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Maintains daily inspection report of construction inspection activities.
  • Inspects operation and material on the job site.
  • May interpret specifications as related to materials and workmanship.
  • Receives moderate supervision.
  • Reports regularly to the Project Manager.
  • Responsible for keeping equipment and vehicle in good working condition and report any problems or repairs needed in a timely manner.

  • Must be able to lift 80 pounds
  • Must be willing to work outdoors year-round
