The Paducah Transient Boat Dock

The Paducah transient boat dock portion of the Riverfront Development Phase 1B included design and construction of the three-section gangway access to the fueling dock and overall 340-foot transient dock facility which provides amenities of fueling station, water, sewer and electrical service for transient boaters.  The facility as constructed provides for yet another tie between the Ohio River and City of Paducah. The transient boat dock has received the Boaters Choice Award for four continuous years.

Overall master planning on the riverfront development includes conceptual study of a 12-acre site adjacent to Phase 1B and Shultz Park, extending the green-area to the Julian Carrol Convention Center and the nearby Holiday Inn Hotel.  The plan included proposed riverfront development concepts including green space development, multi-use paths and park facilities. These concepts were used in subsequent funding requests for park development.
