Bacon Farmer Workman (BFW) was instrumental in writing the grant to secure the HSIP funding and completing the project while complying IDOT policies. The Lake of Egypt Road HSIP Rehabilitation Project covered a 2.85-mile length of Lake Egypt Road and entailed:
- 4’ HMA safety shoulders
- Upgraded guardrail
- Inlaid pavement striping
- RPMs throughout the entire length of the project
In addition, it required extensive coordination and administration to comply with IDOT policies. This included documentation such as:
- Required IDOT BLRS Phase I LAFO documents
- Contract plans
- Special provisions
BFW is proud to have been a part of the updates, which will increase safety and reliability of the Lake Egypt Road.
