This HSIP project entailed a 2.85-mile upgrade of Lake of Egypt Road to provide 4’ HMA safety shoulders, upgraded guardrail, inlaid pavement striping, and RPMs throughout the entire length of the project. This project involved completing all required IDOT BLRS Phase I LAFO documents along with completing the necessary contract plans and special provisions in compliance with IDOT policies. BFW staff were instrumental in writing the grant to secure the HSIP funding for this project.
