Carbondale Superblock Concession Stand and Restroom Facility

BFW partnered with Baysinger Architects to deliver structural engineering services for the Carbondale Superblock Concession Stand and Restroom Facility. Located within the Carbondale Superblock recreational sports complex, this project enhances the facility with expanded amenities for visitors and athletes alike.

Project Highlights:

  • 2,800-square-foot addition to the existing recreational complex
  • Concrete masonry unit (CMU) wall construction for durability and longevity
  • Wood roof trusses utilized for efficient and cost-effective roof framing
  • Large, exposed mass timber trusses at the entry, creating a unique and welcoming architectural feature
  • Structural design led by Josh Alstat, PE, and the BFW structural team

Through thoughtful structural design and collaboration, BFW helped bring a functional and visually distinctive addition to life, supporting the continued growth and use of the Carbondale Superblock facility.
