This project entailed the complete replacement of the existing single span bridge over an unnamed tributary of Four Mile Creek in Massac County, Illinois. This project involved all required preliminary engineering to prepare a thorough set of roadway/bridge plans and specifications for a local letting.
This project also involved the submittal of an Environmental Survey Request, submittal of a Preliminary Bridge Design and Hydraulic Report, and submittals and coordination necessary to receive Corps of Engineers Permits. The plans were assembled to allow alternate bids on the beam widths provided to ensure the lowest costs possible for Massac County.
