St. John’s Newman Center

The St. John’s Newman Center is a Catholic Church on UIUC campus connected to dormitory, and it is located at 604 E Armory Ave, Champaign, IL. To replace the steps, the foundations were reconstructed, so new limestone steps could be installed. In addition, an elevator was added to the exterior side of the church to provide balcony and choir loft access. BFW ensured the final exterior finish would be as elegant and stately as it was before the renovations by ensuring the structural design supplied kept the overall design and function in mind equally.
