The Skyline Drive & Crenshaw Road Roundabout brings safer, smoother traffic flow to one of Williamson County’s busiest intersections. Located just northwest of Marion, this former three-legged T-intersection struggled with frequent delays and a history of crashes. Converting it into a roundabout was the clear choice to improve safety and efficiency for daily travelers and truck traffic alike.
Project Highlights:
-
$2.6 million improvement funded through a federal HSIP safety grant secured by BFW
-
Phase I & II engineering design, environmental studies, and public engagement
-
Comprehensive intersection design study and construction plans
-
Drainage, lighting, and signage design for improved visibility and flow
-
Coordination with environmental agencies and permitting through USACOE
-
Durable jointed and stamped concrete pavement and upgraded storm infrastructure
BFW provided full engineering and grant assistance from concept through design approval in 2023. The project is scheduled for January 2025 letting and is expected to reduce injury crashes by nearly 85%, creating a safer and more efficient connection for the Marion area community.
