Old Sprigg Street Road, Culvert Replacement

Bacon Farmer Workman (BFW) took on the Old Sprigg Street Road Culvert Replacement project. The project required a wide variety of skills to replace a structurally deficient single span bridge structure with a box culvert for the Cape Special Road District, so BFW provided:

  • Preliminary Engineering:
    • Complete set of roadway and structure plans
    • Specifications for a local letting
  • Surveys:
    • Topographic survey of the road and ROW
    • Channel/floodplain cross-sections up- and down-stream of the crossing
  • Submittals:
    • Environmental Survey Request
    • Preliminary Bridge Design and Hydraulic Report
    • Submittals and coordination necessary to receive Corps of Engineers Permits

The Old Sprigg Street Road Culvert Replacement project cost $175,000 in total. BFW is proud to have been a part of the safety and function improvements to Old Sprigg Street Road.
