BFW was proud to play a part in the Johnston City, IL, Jefferson Elementary School Addition, partnering with architect Steve Sims of Architechniques Limited.
Project Highlights
- 2,500-square-foot addition on the west side
- 6,700-square-foot addition on the east side
- Concrete masonry block wall construction
- Roof framing using open web steel bar joists
- Structural design led by Josh Alstat and his team
This project expanded the school’s footprint and enhances the learning environment for students and staff. BFW’s structural team worked to design a strong, efficient system that will serve the district well for years to come.
