Interstate 155, Superpave Asphalt Overlay

This project involves the asphalt overlay of 20 lane miles of Interstate 155 in Pemiscot County.  Project activities included pavement repair, concrete cross stitching, cold milling, guardrail upgrades, and superpave asphalt.  BFW was responsible for coordinating aspects of inspection and QA testing on construction activities which included: identifying pavement repair, expansion joint, and cross stitching areas; inspection of contractors work to verify compliance with contract documents, monitoring production rates; asphalt plant inspection; material testing/inspection; measurement/documentation of pay items; completing all applicable portions of AASHTOWare (AWP); saving documentation to MoDOT’s SharePoint site; completing change orders; monitoring contractor’s quality control plan; review CRE2O reports; estimate generation, including computation of line item and contract adjustments; and managing traffic control for work zones.  Keeping local partners updated on construction activities.
