BFW provided structural engineering services for Champaign County as part of its effort to consolidate operations and modernize the satellite jail facility on Lierman Avenue in Urbana. The project retires the aging downtown jail and improves safety, flexibility, and overall conditions for inmates and staff. Completed in 2024, the $1.6 million upgrade includes a 27,000 square-foot single-story addition designed to support long-term operational needs.
