The Madison County Courthouse, a historic three-story structure originally built in the 1890s and expanded in the 1960s, underwent a major renovation and expansion to bring modern functionality to a landmark facility. A new 10,000 square foot, two-story addition includes a secure sallyport and holding area, while the existing structure received complete upgrades to its mechanical and electrical systems.
Mechanical and Electrical Improvements:
- New water, fire, electric, and natural gas services
- Manual transfer switch and docking station for a portable generator
- Water-source HVAC system with boilers, rooftop fluid cooler, and dedicated outside air unit
Facility Additions and Enhancements:
- 10,000 SF two-story addition with sallyport and secure holding
