Marcum was proud to support the new Ohio County Board of Education campus in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Working alongside architectural partner Hawkins Abney, PLLC, our team provided full MEP engineering services for the new centralized Board of Education Office and supporting maintenance facilities. From design through construction, we helped bring modern, efficient systems online to serve the district’s long-term needs.

- Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Design – Developed efficient, code-compliant systems tailored to administrative, office, and operational spaces.
- HVAC Engineering – Designed heating, cooling, and ventilation solutions to support occupant comfort and energy performance.
- Electrical Power & Lighting Systems – Engineered reliable electrical distribution and interior/exterior lighting solutions for offices, work areas, and support buildings.
- Life-Safety & Fire Protection Systems – Coordinated fire alarm, egress lighting, and safety systems to meet regulatory standards and support occupant safety.
- Systems Coordination & Integration – Collaborated closely with Hawkins Abney, PLLC and contractor teams to ensure cohesive design delivery across disciplines.
- Construction Administration Oversight – Provided field observation, submittal review, RFI support, and coordination during construction to maintain design intent and quality assurance.
- Commissioning Support – Assisted in system start-up, testing, and verification to confirm performance objectives were achieved.
The completed campus delivers a functional, modern environment that strengthens both administrative leadership and day-to-day operations for Ohio County Public Schools.
