Marcum Engineering provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for the new Franklin County Road Department Facility, constructed on a reclaimed brownfield site. The facility includes both maintenance and administrative areas, along with significant vehicle storage and site upgrades.

Mechanical and HVAC Systems:

High-bay garage heated by gas infrared tube heaters and a recycled oil burner

Garage ventilation provided by exhaust fans and HVLS (high-volume, low-speed) fans

Office area heated and cooled with gas furnace/DX split system

Additional heating with ductless splits and wall- and ceiling-mounted electric infrared heaters
Plumbing and Drainage:

Heavy-duty trench drains in maintenance bays

Drains connected to outdoor, below-grade oil separator for environmental compliance
