Bacon Farmer Workman (BFW) was trusted with the Triangle Fraternity Renovation & Addition project. To begin, the scope of the project had to be assessed, so BFW provided:
- Examination:
- Structural evaluations
- Inspection of the existing building
- Detailed Plans for Fixes:
- Roof deterioration
- Wall deterioration
- Floor deterioration
The current structure was CMU and brick masonry with load-bearing walls containing steel framing and concrete on metal decking floors. To add to this building, the structural design BFW provided contained a new addition with:
- Steel-framed 1,000 sf addition of new student workspace
- Concrete retaining walls around the perimeter as needed for the varying grade
BFW is proud to be a part of the project, adding to the Triangle Fraternity’s capability and space for a better learning and living environment.
