The Perry County Detention Center project was entrusted to Marcum Engineering. To complete the project, Marcum Engineering provided all aspects of the design and construction administration process for the 140-inmate detention center which included services such as:

• HVAC Equipment Sizing
• Fire Alarm System Design
• Sprinkler System Design
• Smoke Evacuation System
• Lighting Design
• Applicable Code Review for all MEP Disciplines
• Plumbing Design and System Calculations

The new detention center is well equipped to handle all the needs of the staff and inmates at the center in Hazard, Kentucky. The new facilities include a multitude of resources such as:

• Multi-Purpose Rooms
• Commercial Laundry and Kitchen
• Breakroom
• Booking Area
• Visitation Area
• Secure Cells
• Building Control Room
• Outdoor Recreation Area
• Boiler Room
• Mechanical Mezzanine
