McCracken County High School

Paducah, Kentucky – McCracken County

Three aging high schools in McCraken County needed to be replaced, so a new facility, McCracken County High School, was designed and constructed. Bacon Farmer Workman (BFW) provided the site utilities and structural design while Marcum Engineering provided the full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design. The consolidated facility accommodates 2000 students and consists of over 300,000 square feet while being designed for optimal energy efficiency and above standard design efficiency with features such as:

  • Insulated concrete forms (ICF)
  • Ground-source geothermal HVAC system
  • Low consumption plumbing fixtures
  • Advanced lighting control

The McCracken County High School project is Energy Star Labeled and will obtain LEED Silver certification. BFW and Marcum are proud to have provided services to design the new McCracken County High School with the space serve the students and community effectively and the efficiency to save money on upkeep for more staff and opportunities.
